A group of people read Rachel’s emails in Grosvenor Square in London in front of the U.S. Embassy and in front of the British Parliament on March 16, 2006, the third anniversary of Rachel’s death.
The Optative Theatrical Laboratories in Montreal, Canada, part of the Theaters Against War (THAW) network, performed dramatic readings of Rachel’s emails as well as writings about the controversy of the New York Theater Workshops cancellation of the play.
Rachel Corrie was killed in the Gaza Strip in Palestine on March 16, 2003, trying to prevent the demolition of the home of a Palestinian pharmacist, his wife, and three young children. To highlight the experience of thousands in Rafah whose homes have been demolished, Khaled, Samah, and Sama Nasrallah, whose home Rachel Corrie protected, joined Cindy and Craig Corrie in June 2005 for a national speaking tour to 22 cities in California, Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
